My mission to create Sudor Taino was derived from my need to motivate people.  Passing on my blessings enables me to continue to motivate, inspire, touch and rejuvenate people of all ages and fitness levels. Whether it is through a fitness class, a dance workshop, exercise conference, video, or lecture, I remain committed to bringing individuals a life changing experience upon every encounter. I believe that none of the positive energy I possess means anything if it is not shared and dispensed to others with passion. In essence, it is "Fitness & Life with Passion".

As far as the name sudor Taino, the word Sudor is Spanish for sweat. The word Taino on its own means “noble” and refers specifically to the Taino Indians who are responsible for the cultivation of Puerto Rico. When I put the words Sudor Taino together, I still feel their energy and power because they signify a struggle, one that my grandmother, a full blooded Taino, took part in. A struggle of sweat and tears in which every drop meant something. Isn’t it a struggle to work out? So, find a way to make every workout bring you some type of rejuvenation. What if you viewed your workouts as a blessing, a time to make yourself feel special, to feel strong, to hear yourself think, to accomplish something? What if every sweat drop symbolized something that aggravated you during the day? What if the beat of a song could wash it all away, even if it is for an hour? What if the clothes you workout in send a message? And, what if you actually took the time to shut out the world and possess the energy generated during your workouts? What is the worst thing that could happen? You could savor your workout, motivate your neighbor or friend.  You might even enrich your own spirit!

Finding what moves you, letting the energy and passion flow throughout your workout isn't where it stops.  It is where it begins.  It is where you unleash your true core energy and your passion flourishes.  It is my hope that Fitness with Passion challenges you to lead your life with passion. Sudor Taino honors this process with its personal salutation: Reflect, Release & Rejuvenate.
